I've decided that children pick at least one day a week to aggravate
their mothers. That is unless they're raised by single fathers, then
it's daddys turn. I'm even convinced that they get together and come up
with a plan of who is going to do what when. They don't come fussing or
complaining all at once, they take turns. He touched me, she hit me,
mom they're in my room! Etc. I wouldn't trade them for the world, but
one of these days I'd like my own spa day. When I try to hide in my
room they always follow. So a trip to the spa sounds like a good
birthday present. Maybe then the wall won't be so bad.

I've just now realized..
That today was Monday. Duh. I don't know what clock my head has been
going by. Yesterday was a long day spent in Vanceboro, then Saturday
was spent in town shopping for clothes for the rugrats. I kept seeing
previews for the Vh1 shows that air Monday night and going huh? Then
when I saw the preview for real chance at love I had my duh moment. Now
I can only hope this doesn't make my week twice as long.

The day is not even over..
They day is not even over and there has already been some sad news. My sister and her husband got the phone call this morning that his mom died. She had been battling lung cancer since last year. Just last month she went into Pitt Memorial for surgery to remove tumors from her back. The surgery had left her paralyzed and they had wanted her to do radiation 4 or 5 days a week, I'm not sure on the number. She opted instead to go home. For four weeks she was able to live at home surrounded by those that loved her and the comfort of knowing that she was at home and not at a hospital. It was there that she died. May she rest in peace.
I've always believed in the power of prayer, I believe in it now more than ever. The first thing I did when I got off the phone with my sister was to call our Grandmother and ask her to put in a prayer request at their church. She's calling everyone she knows to put in prayer requests within their communities. If you don't believe in God and the power of prayer, I'm not going to preach to you and try to convince you otherwise. But if you do, please pray for the Poplin family and the Gibble family as well as anyone else who is going through what they're going through.
